ThayerMahan raises $30 million in Series C Funding

ThayerMahan has received $30 million in Series C funding.The MC2 Security Fund MC2 led a $30 million Series C financing for ThayerMahan, a global leader in autonomous marine surveillance technology.

Other notable new investors in the round include I Squared Capital, Ducenta Squared Asset Management, and Compass Partners who also served as the Company’s financial advisors, as well as participation from existing investors AE Industrial Partners, Hegemon Capital, and an affiliate of RiverPark Ventures.

ThayerMahan, founded in 2016, offers maritime domain data solutions to industries such as maritime security, defense and intelligence, subsea infrastructure, offshore energy, live marine resources, and acoustic sciences.

By building and operating a portfolio of unmanned autonomous sea-based technologies, the company provides data insights to its customers. Its patented AI technology stack gathers and curates data sets, analyzing and speeding up data comprehension.

ThayerMahan has a large core of acoustics expertise, with over 75 personnel holding security clearances. ThayerMahan has received eight patents from the government, with seven more pending.
