Swedish hybrid-electric airplane manufacturer Heart Aerospace has successfully raised $107 million in a Series B funding round, bringing its total financing since inception to $145 million.
New investors in this round include Sagitta Ventures, alongside existing backers Air Canada, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, EQT Ventures, Lowercarbon Capital, United Airlines, and others.
Heart Aerospace aims to contribute to sustainable regional air travel with its hybrid-electric regional airplane ES-30.
The funding will be utilized to advance business development and work towards obtaining type certification for the ES-30, a 30-passenger regional airplane with lower emissions and operating costs.
The company has received 250 orders for the ES-30, with additional options and purchase rights, reflecting strong interest in its sustainable aviation solution.
