Rapid Silicon, a manufacturer of open-source AI and intelligent edge-focused FPGAs, announced its $30 million Series A round today. Cambium Capital and others have contributed $15 million to the company, which includes all previous investors from its seed round. The second closing is scheduled during the first quarter of 2023.
This current round of funding will be used to expand Rapid Silicon’s product range, support the launch of its premier low-end FPGA product, Gemini, and to continue the company’s leadership in the adoption of open-source software for commercial applications.
