Facets.cloud Raised $4 Million in Seed Funding to Transform DevOps

by

Facets.cloud, a self-serve infrastructure management platform, has successfully raised $4 million in a seed funding round led by 3one4 Capital. This innovative platform is designed to enhance developer productivity by simplifying and productizing cloud deployment workflows.

Founded in 2021 by Anshul Sao, Pravanjan Choudhury, and Rohit Raveendran, all alumni of IIT-KGP, Facets.cloud addresses the challenges faced by modern DevOps practices. Such practices often involve the integration of multiple toolchains across 32 categories to manage various aspects of cloud delivery, including environment provisioning and observability. This complexity demands significant effort to maintain and update, distracting organizations from their core business offerings.

Pravanjan Choudhury, founder and CEO of Facets.cloud, emphasizes the platform’s mission to streamline cloud deployment processes into an Internal Developer Platform. This approach, known as Platform Engineering, empowers developers to self-serve their infrastructure needs, reducing distractions and enhancing productivity.

Choudhury expressed gratitude for the trust shown by 3one4 Capital and other investors, highlighting the potential of Facets.cloud and its platform engineering philosophy.

Facets.cloud has already garnered attention from companies like MPL, Treebo, Capillary Technologies, and Purplle.

Anurag Ramdasan, the lead partner from 3one4 Capital, hailed Facets.cloud as a game-changer for complex DevOps setups, enabling organizations to automate last-mile cloud delivery as a product. This transformation empowers businesses with self-service infrastructure management and enhanced efficiency, positioning them as industry leaders.

Facets.cloud plans to utilize the capital to expand into the US market, advance the platform engineering philosophy, and enhance its product offerings. The funding round also included participation from other investors, such as 100x Entrepreneurs (now Neon), and notable angels including Abhinav Asthana, Pallav Nadhani, Aneesh Reddy, Krishna Mehra, and Sreedhar Pedinneni.
