Defcon AI Secures $44M in Seed Funding to Advance Military MS&A Toolset

Defcon AI, a McLean, VA-based company developing a next-generation modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) toolset for military operations, has raised $44 million in seed funding. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Fifth Growth Fund, Red Cell Partners, and others.

Funding to Fuel Growth and Innovation

The newly acquired funds will be used to expand Defcon AI’s team, enhance its research and development efforts, and broaden its core capabilities across various defense missions. Additionally, the company aims to extend its offerings to the commercial sector, enabling both public and private entities to predict and respond to disruptions more effectively.

Christopher Wan from Bessemer Venture Partners will join Defcon AI’s Board of Directors as part of the financing deal, along with Dr. Ray O. Johnson, former CTO of Lockheed Martin, who will serve as an independent board member.
