Cox Communications acquires Logicworks

Cox Communications has acquired Logicworks, a professional and managed cloud services company based in New York. Logicworks empowers customers to migrate, run, and operate business applications on AWS and Azure platforms.

The acquisition of Logicworks by Cox, through RapidScale, a Cox Business company, will strengthen the company’s offering to provide cutting edge cloud solutions to companies in the US and around the world.

Mark Greatrex, President of Cox Communications, said that with Logicworks in its commercial services portfolio, they can help customers better migrate and manage systems in the cloud while they focus on business priorities. He added that the acquisition is part of their larger plan to offer a comprehensive suite of innovative IT solutions.

Logicworks will join Cox’s portfolio of commercial businesses that work together to holistically serve commercial customers’ connectivity, telecom, and IT needs. Ken Ziegler, CEO of Logicworks, said that Cox and Logicworks share the same vision surrounding the underserved public cloud managed services space. He added that the partnership creates a fantastic opportunity for them to become a market leader and broaden their opportunities for growth.

King & Spalding LLP represented Cox while Jefferies LLC and Cooley LLP represented Logicworks.
