Novvia Group Completes Acquisition of Ocean State Packaging

Novvia Group, a global distributor of rigid containers and life sciences packaging, has successfully acquired Ocean State, a supplier based in Rhode Island specializing in plastic bottles and rigid packaging products.

The financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

Novvia Group, backed by Kelso & Company, continues to strengthen its presence in the packaging industry through strategic acquisitions.

Ocean State Packaging, founded in 1990, has established itself as a reliable supplier of both stock and custom packaging solutions. The company serves a national network of customers across diverse end markets, offering a comprehensive range of bottle shapes, sizes, and substrates. Additionally, Ocean State provides caps, closures, and value-added services, including design and decoration capabilities. With offices in Rhode Island and New Jersey, the company is known for its consultative sales support.

Brian Beneduce, President of Ocean State, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Novvia and the opportunity for further growth. He emphasized the company’s commitment to customer service and its intention to enhance value for customers as part of the broader Novvia platform.

For Novvia Group, the acquisition of Ocean State represents an entry into the New England market and aligns with the company’s Northeast strategy. Ken Roessler, Executive Chairman of Novvia, welcomed Ocean State Packaging to the Novvia family and emphasized the commitment to investing in Ocean State’s markets.
