New State Capital Partners (“New State”) announced today the acquisition of Blackhawk Aerospace (“Blackhawk” or “the Company”), a recognized leader in aircraft performance improvements, by its general aviation-focused platform, New State Aviation Holdings (“NS Aviation”). Blackhawk joins NS Aviation’s flagship aviation venture AVEX, which is a major provider of sales and maintenance for the Daher TBM turboprop aircraft, which was purchased in December 2021. AVEX and Blackhawk will operate separately while collaborating to expand NS Aviation’s offerings. The management of Blackhawk will remain with the company. The transaction’s terms were not disclosed.
Blackhawk, headquartered in Waco, Texas, employs more than 60 people and produces engine improvements for a wide range of turboprop planes, increasing an aircraft’s speed, safety, and climb capabilities while extending engine life. Customers in the commercial and government areas are served by the company all around the world. Blackhawk began as Blackhawk Modifications, Inc. in 1999, and has since expanded to include divisions for government assistance, maintenance, avionics, composites, and aircraft sales. The composites business will stay independent and unaffected by the transfer.
Strong demand for AVEX and Blackhawk products and services has resulted in record backlogs for both firms, indicating a promising future for New State Aviation Holdings.
