Mactac, a subsidiary of LINTEC, is set to acquire Label Supply, a prominent player in the Canadian roll label market. The Ontario-based Label Supply has been serving customers for over 30 years. The acquisition is expected to be finalized on June 1, 2023, and will provide Mactac with an established facility equipped with 11 finishing assets, a transportation fleet, a dedicated laboratory, technical resources, and an in-house ink partner. Label Supply will benefit from Mactac’s larger customer base, financial resources, advanced technology, and expanded product supply. This strategic move will enable both companies to extend their reach in the Canadian market, offering specialized products and services to a broader customer base in Eastern Canada.
Ed LaForge, President and CEO of Mactac, commended Label Supply’s customer-centric approach and agile business model, stating that the acquisition will enhance their operations by expanding services throughout Eastern Canada and catering to the needs of larger customers in the region.
In other news, Scandstick, a company under Beontag, has announced a new senior European leadership team, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategic growth. Tommi Heinonen, formerly holding a leadership role at UPM Specialty Paper, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Scandstick. The team will be overseen by Mauro Lerner, Beontag’s Global Vice President of Lamination. As Scandstick became a part of Beontag in 2022, it has been preparing to leverage the resources, expertise, operational oversight, and support of its global parent company to drive further growth and success in the industry.
