GrubMarket Acquires London Fruit to Expand Footprint in the US

GrubMarket, a leading technology-driven food distribution company, has successfully completed the acquisition of London Fruit, a well-established family-owned wholesale distribution business based in South Texas. London Fruit, operating since 1981, is a market leader in avocados, limes, mangos, and other premium tropical fruits sourced from its extensive network of producers across Mexico, Peru, and other parts of South America.

With a modern facility spanning nearly 50,000 square feet, equipped with state-of-the-art refrigerated cold storage and USDA organic-certified repacking space, London Fruit also offers value-added services like custom packing, grading, and private labeling.

Over its 42-year journey, London Fruit has built strong relationships with numerous retailers, supermarkets, and wholesalers across the US and Canada, earning loyal customers who value its commitment to excellent customer service and consistently high-quality products. The company maintains the highest food safety standards and has earned a near-perfect 99% Good Manufacturing Practices rating from PrimusGFS. It also utilizes advanced technology, including Airocide PPT air sanitation and Hazel 100 technology, to enhance the safety and shelf-life of its products.

After the acquisition, London Fruit will continue to be led by its experienced and dedicated leadership team.
