AppHub, an ecommerce enablement platform, announced the acquisition of REVIEWS.io today. REVIEWS.io, founded in 2012 by Callum McKeefery and Nicole Albano, uses its review, loyalty, survey, and user-generated content (UGC) solution to help businesses leverage the power of their customers’ voices to improve sales and establish brand trust. The acquisition is AppHub’s ninth and largest to date, fueled by a $60 million expansion investment from Silversmith Capital Partners. McKeefery will join the AppHub Board as part of the transaction.
REVIEWS.io was developed as a platform for gathering and publishing real reviews in order to increase consumer and merchant confidence. Since then, REVIEWS.io has developed to use first-party data to favorably influence buying behavior.
The company boasts 8,000 customers, including some of the most well-known online firms, such as Vuori, Pura Vida, and Boxraw. Despite REVIEWS.io’s market leadership, AppHub believes there are substantial chances to accelerate growth by using AppHub’s large customer base, multi-product offering, and value-added services.
