Zylon, Backed by the Creators of PrivateGPT, Raises $3.2M in Pre-Seed Funding

by

Zylon, a new venture spearheaded by the minds behind PrivateGPT, has announced a successful pre-seed funding round, securing $3.2 million. The investment will fuel the further development of Zylon’s generative AI platform, tailored to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Felicis led the funding round, with contributions from LifeX Ventures and Zypsy, along with notable angel investors including Travis McPeak, Kirill Tashilov, and Hans-Christian Zappel.

Zylon’s intuitive web interface is engineered for ease of use and flexibility, leveraging open-source models such as Meta’s Llama 2 and Mistral’s Mixtral. This empowers businesses across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, and legal, to leverage AI for tasks ranging from content creation to data analysis and document generation.

Despite the dominance of giants like OpenAI and Google Geminard in the market, Zylon distinguishes itself with a focus on privacy. Rooted in the legacy of PrivateGPT, Zylon’s founders bring a commitment to privacy protection, a factor that sets the platform apart in the AI landscape.

Co-founder Iván Martínez Toro is slated to speak at the Tech.eu Summit London 2024, highlighting Zylon’s emergence as a significant player in the AI sector. Interested parties are encouraged to secure their tickets for the event.
