Toothio, an on-demand dental staffing platform that connects qualified professionals with dental practices, has announced the successful closure of a $4 million seed funding round. The funding was led by Craft Ventures, with participation from Burst Capital, Moving Capital, Revere Partners, and Rho Capital Partners. Prior to this round, the company received initial backing from AZ Crown, the founders of Insight Enterprises.

The newly secured capital will be used to further accelerate Toothio’s growth by enhancing its technology, expanding into key markets across the United States, growing its network of dental professionals, and strengthening its sales team.

In support of its growth plans, Toothio has appointed Keith Clements as Chief Commercial Officer. Clements, a seasoned executive, brings a wealth of experience in scaling some of the largest dental companies in the country.

His achievements include spearheading sales at Young Innovations, where he played a pivotal role in developing the Dental Service Organizations (DSO) business and integrating multiple acquisitions. Before that, Clements served as VP of Sales at Dentsply Sirona (Nasdaq: XRAY), overseeing the company’s US consumable business, strategic account group, and dealer-based business over a decade-long tenure.

Toothio’s platform addresses the staffing challenges commonly faced by dental practices in the US. By connecting qualified dental hygienists, assistants, and receptionists with practices in need of their services, Toothio aims to provide a win-win solution. Dental professionals gain flexibility in their work schedules, while practices ensure they have the staff they need to meet patient demands.

Toothio has made significant strides since its founding in 2021, facilitating thousands of completed shifts with a 97% fill rate. The company has more than doubled its revenue, expanded to multiple cities including Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, and Austin, and plans to serve additional US markets by the end of 2023.

The company’s mission is to revitalize the dental industry by providing a modern, convenient, and seamless staffing solution for both dental professionals and practices.

Toothio is actively hiring for sales and partnership roles as it continues to expand its operations.

Founded in 2021, Toothio’s platform offers dental professionals the freedom and flexibility to choose their work assignments, making it an attractive option in the dental industry.

The company’s mission is to provide dental practices with on-demand access to qualified hygienists and assistants, allowing them to increase office production and better serve their patients.
