The 2022 Guild Giving Golf Event raised $380,000 for local charities

On Oct. 6, 2022, the Guild Giving Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Guild Mortgage to fulfill its commitment to building relationships and strengthening communities, held its fourth annual Charity Golf Tournament, Auction, and Dinner Social, raising a total of $380,000 for local charities.

The revenues from the 2022 event were donated to local San Diego charities such as MyPath2Own Dedicated to Lisa Klika, the Urban Corps of San Diego County, and Home Start. In December 2022 and January 2023, Guild Giving handed checks to the charity.

In the last four years, the annual Guild fundraising event has sold out and earned more than $1.3 million for critical causes such as homelessness and education for disadvantaged youngsters.

MyPath2Own Dedicated to Lisa Klika is a new charitable program Guild will launch in 2023 in honor of the company’s late Chief Compliance Officer. The program will assist potential borrowers in becoming mortgage ready through homebuyer education, concierge service, and a closing cost assistance grant for those who complete the path.

Lisa was a major supporter of homeownership for underserved communities, and proceeds from the golf tournament, as well as employee direct donations, will go toward funding the MyPath2Own grant.The organization will receive an initial cheque for $180,000 from the 2022 Golf Tournament profits.

San Diego County’s Urban Corps has built a one-of-a-kind work-learning program that allows students to complete high school while receiving a paycheck, gaining real-world employment skills, and giving back to the community. Guild Giving presented the organization with a $100,000 check.

Home Start serves low-income mothers and children who need immediate, comprehensive housing and supportive assistance to ensure their safety and healthy development. Guild Giving presented the organization with a $100,000 check.
