Tetra Tech, a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services, is pleased to announce that it has agreed to an all-cash acquisition of RPS Group for 222 pence per share with RPS Group plc. The RPS Group Board of Directors unanimously recommended the acquisition.
The RPS Group and Tetra Tech’s combined 26,000 associates will establish a world-class global consultancy in water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, and energy transformation. The RPS Group employs 5,000 associates in Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia Pacific, and North America, delivering high-end solutions for government and commercial clients, particularly in energy transformation, water, and program management.
According to Engineering News-Record, Tetra Tech is a global high-end consultant with #1 ranks in both water and environmental management. Its 21,000 associates are technical professionals who complete more than 70,000 projects worldwide each year.
Tetra Tech’s water practice in the United Kingdom is greatly expanded, and Tetra Tech’s leadership in renewable energy and environmental management is strengthened. The merger expands our geographic presence in the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Australia. The RPS Group and Tetra Tech share a common culture and will work together to address critical issues such as climate change, resiliency, and energy transformation.
The merger of RPS Group and Tetra Tech also strengthens both firms’ ambitions to provide high-end consulting with a focus on advanced data analytics and distinctive software applications in water management, ocean analytics, and pollutant modeling.
