Sailes, an AI startup known for its Sailebots designed to automate prospecting activities, has closed a $5.1 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by Lewis & Clark Ventures, with participation from Acronym Venture Capital and Tenzing Capital, as well as follow-on investment from existing investors KCRise Fund and Valor Ventures. The Series A funding brings Sailes’ total funding to $6.6 million.

Sailes specializes in AI technology compliant with global standards and available in multiple languages. The company’s proprietary AI model streamlines prospecting for enterprises by automating repetitive manual tasks and enabling sales representatives to focus on high-value activities. Sailes stands out as the first known company to automate all prospecting tasks for enterprises, including research, data validation, content generation, marketing automation, and more.

The company’s AI model, known as Sailebots, mirrors the user’s personality and is designed to enhance the productivity of sales professionals by automating various aspects of their work.

Nick Smith, CEO and Founder of Sailes, highlighted the company’s vision of leveraging technology to create space for human interactions. He stated that Sailes aims to provide salespeople with their own AI, giving them control over the automation process and allowing them to focus on selling and living.

Sailes has demonstrated substantial growth since its inception, with Fortune 500 companies in sectors such as real estate, heavy equipment, financial services, environmental, social, and corporate governance, and manufacturing adopting its technology.

The company’s revenue growth has consistently been in the triple digits year over year. The recent funding round will enable Sailes to scale its AI and machine learning capabilities while expanding its presence in New York City.

Sailes’ latest innovation, Starboard™, offers an immersive user experience that enables enterprise sales teams to manage and deploy a “fleet” of Sailebots. This feature allows sales representatives to onboard, instruct, deploy, and train their own AI, providing companies with greater control and boosting sales development.

Michael Rockhold, Principal at Lewis & Clark Ventures, commended Sailes as a pioneer in using AI to fully automate lead generation and prospecting for enterprise sales teams. He noted the strong market demand for Sailes’ platform, which has demonstrated its value in terms of sales pipeline creation and labor efficiency.
