The pandemic drew global media attention to the drayage industry amid larger supply chain issues, highlighting the industry’s dire need for digital transformation. Drayage carriers around the world are looking for efficient, cost-effective, and dependable solutions to give them an operational advantage, benefiting everyone involved in the journey of a container and contributing to the industry’s estimated $3 billion1 growth over the next three years.

Following two years of record-breaking growth, PortPro, a transportation management software provider with deep expertise in the drayage community, announced today that it has raised $12 million in Series A funding led by Avenue Growth Partners.

PortPro will use the funds to make significant investments in their products.

“Drayage service providers are a critical component of the global supply chain and are in need of better software options to operate their businesses,” said Ryan Russell, Co-founder and Partner at Avenue Growth Partners. “PortPro’s technology is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation,” he added- according to Businesswire.

PortPro created drayOS to provide carriers and drivers with direct access to software that addresses these issues from their web portal or smartphone. Its products include a TMS for drayage and intermodal carriers, connectivity and visibility solutions for brokers, carriers, and expediters, and strong integrations with other supply chain providers.
