Perma-Pipe International Holdings Inc. has announced project awards totaling $6.5 million in India

Perma-Pipe International Holdings, Inc.  announced today that its subsidiary Perma-Pipe India Pvt. Ltd. (Perma-Pipe India) has been awarded $6.5 million in contracts for the first quarter of 2023. Two major projects will begin in the first and second quarters of 2023 at Perma-Gandhidham, Pipe’s Gujarat, India facility.

Perma-Pipe India was awarded a contract by Reliance New Solar Energy Limited to supply thermally insulated pipe and field joints for a chilled water network on the 10 GW solar cell and module factory in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Perma-XTRU-THERM® Pipe’s insulation system, a spray-applied polyurethane foam jacketed with a high-density polyethylene casing, will be used for the project. An anti-corrosion liquid epoxy coating system will be applied to the pipes prior to the installation of the insulation system, as well as Perma-own Pipe’s PermAlert® leak detection system.

Furthermore, Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. selected Perma-Pipe India to supply thermally insulated pipe and field joints for a heat-traced application on the ABNP – Cairn Project in Rajasthan.The project will make use of Perma-TRACE-THERMTM Pipe’s insulation system, which is designed to ensure optimal heat management throughout the pipeline’s life.

Welded tracer tubes for heat tracing will be used, as well as spray-applied polyurethane foam jacketed by a high-density polyethylene casing. Using Perma-custom Pipe’s coating facility, an anti-corrosion fusion bonded epoxy coating will be applied internally and externally prior to the installation of the insulation system.
