Under the leadership of Nicholas Johnson, the company’s Founder and CEO, Orange Charger offers an innovative Energy Management Solution tailored for multifamily homes. Specifically designed to cater to the needs of multifamily properties, Orange’s latest model of EV chargers and software platform aims to serve over 43 million Americans residing in such accommodations.
One of the standout features of Orange Charger’s offerings is its Level 2 outlets, priced at an affordable $750 each. Property owners can install four Orange chargers for the cost of a single standard charger without requiring any expansion of their electricity panel.
Since its inception, Orange Charger has successfully deployed approximately 2,000 units at apartment complexes nationwide. These chargers are equipped with OrangeNet, a proprietary mesh technology that facilitates seamless communication among chargers, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity without the need for additional networking infrastructure.
The user experience is streamlined through the Orange app, where drivers can easily initiate charging sessions by scanning the QR code on the chargers, inputting their credit card details, and commencing charging. OrangeOS, the company’s proprietary operating system, efficiently tracks and manages charger usage, reimbursing the property for energy costs incurred. Furthermore, it empowers property owners to regulate access to chargers and centrally manage all their properties’ chargers through a single platform.
