mrge, a platform for commerce advertising based in Canada and Germany, has acquired SourceKnowledge, a network for publishers and retailers based in Montreal, Canada.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
mrge will expand its North American reach with SourceKnowledge’s roster of direct advertisers and thousands of publishers, as well as bring SourceKnowledge’s programmatic technology to mrge’s existing retailer and publisher clients, as a result of the acquisition. SourceKnowledge will be part of mrge, which also includes digidip, shopping24, and Yieldkit.
SourceKnowledge, led by President Patrick Hopf, is an ad network that allows retailers and DTC brands to spend based on their goals and rewards publishers who drive conversions with a CPC model. For publishers, SourceKnowledge provides SmartBidderTM technology, which detects and rewards traffic that converts automatically and in real-time, as well as a Fallback URL, which sends inventory to another network if it cannot meet the bidfloor.
Furthermore, programmatic technology enables its publishers to sell their inventory in the marketplace through an auction. Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and BigCommerce all have direct integrations with the company.
