fundcraft, a leading digital infrastructure provider for asset management, has successfully raised €5 million in Series A funding. The investment is poised to transform the asset servicing landscape by addressing inefficiencies in fund administration, a market valued at $50 billion annually within the alternative asset management sector.
The funding round was led by Aperture Capital, with participation from SIX Fintech Ventures, the CVC arm of SIX Group, and early supporters. Ben Robinson, CEO of Aperture Group, praised fundcraft’s transformative model, recognizing the pressing need for innovation in asset servicing.
fundcraft plans to utilize the funding to expand its product offerings and market reach into new territories, including Spain and Germany.
Traditionally, fund administration has relied heavily on manual processes, emails, spreadsheets, and PDFs, resulting in significant inefficiencies. fundcraft aims to centralize and automate these operations, streamlining processes, data management, and stakeholder interaction to drive cost reduction and enhance customer outcomes. Its open platform fosters collaboration among all parties in the fund administration value chain, enabling seamless coordination between lawyers, bankers, auditors, accountants, and depositaries.
By consolidating fund accounting, transfer agency, compliance, corporate secretary, portfolio management, and reporting into a unified system, fundcraft delivers a single source of truth, significantly reducing administration costs and operational risks while increasing agility through automation.
Founded in 2021, fundcraft boasts over 22 asset management clients, including notable names like Moonfare, Stableton, and Tenity. Managing more than 135 funds representing over EUR6 billion in commitment, fundcraft is poised to disrupt the asset management industry with its cutting-edge technology.
Victor Martin, co-founder and CTO of fundcraft, emphasized the industry’s urgent need for modernization, highlighting the platform’s ability to revolutionize asset servicing through advanced digitization.
