dipp raises $1.5M to launch generative AI for visual content

dipp, an AI-powered startup based in Taiwan focusing on brand management for e-commerce brands, has successfully raised $1.5 million in a seed funding round. The investment comes from notable backers, including venture accelerator SparkLabs Taiwan, U.S. venture capital firm Palm Drive Capital, and content-tech unicorn Tezign.

The primary objective of dipp is to address the challenges associated with the labor-intensive process of creating tailored content, optimizing visuals, and synchronizing strategies across diverse platforms for e-commerce brands. The startup aims to streamline and automate these tasks using AI, making it more efficient and allowing teams to collaborate effectively.

Jennifer Chen, Co-Founder, and CEO of dipp highlighted the increasing need for streamlined and efficient solutions as brands strive to maintain a competitive edge and engage with a diverse online audience. The newly acquired capital will be utilized to expedite the development of AI features and support regional market expansion in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Seamon Chan, Founding Partner of Palm Drive Capital, expressed optimism about dipp’s potential impact on e-commerce operating workflows throughout the APAC region. He highlighted the global trend of increasing venture capital investments in Generative AI, reaching $1.7 billion in the first quarter of the year.

Founded by Jennifer Chen and Mikhail Abramov, both former New York-based art directors, dipp is dedicated to providing a seamless and streamlined creative operation platform for e-commerce brands in Asia. The platform integrates product visual management, creation, and listing into a unified experience, catering to e-commerce-enabling agencies, international consumer brands, and online marketplaces.

In the future, dipp plans to introduce Generative AI features, including AI-generated visual variations, AI-generated product images for personalized experiences across channels, and an AI Review function to cross-reference content against brand guidelines and composition rules.

The infusion of capital positions dipp to further develop its AI capabilities and disrupt the e-commerce landscape by offering innovative solutions for managing promotional efforts efficiently.
