Clearhaven Partners, a private equity firm based in Boston, MA, has acquired Zixi, a provider of cloud-based and on-premises software-defined video platform (SDVP®) solutions, headquartered in Waltham, MA.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
With this acquisition, Clearhaven Partners aims to collaborate with Zixi to enhance innovation and scalability, solidifying its position as a leading technology partner for IP-based media transport in the global market.
Founded in 2006, Zixi offers a software-defined video platform (SDVP®) that facilitates live video transport over any internet protocol network. The company’s software is utilized by over 1,400 customers and integrated into more than 400 partner offerings, enabling broadcast-quality video delivery over any IP network. Zixi’s clientele includes broadcasters, enterprises, OTT video providers, sports leagues and franchises, service providers, cable operators, and telcos worldwide. Notable customers include Amazon Prime Video, AWS Elemental Media Connect, FOX, Fubo, MLB, Net Insight, NHL, Paramount, Roku, SKY, Univision, Wurl, and YouTube TV, among others in the media and entertainment industry.
