Bentley Systems, the infrastructure engineering software company, announced today the acquisition of EasyPower, a leading developer of design and analysis software tools for electrical engineering professionals, including arc flash solutions. Since its inception in 1984, Portland, Oregon-based EasyPower has pioneered the use of graphics-based modeling and analysis to make solving complex electrical engineering problems easier and more accessible.
EasyPower products are primarily used to ensure the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of power distribution systems serving industrial and commercial facilities.
Bentley’s acquisition of EasyPower expands its infrastructure engineering capabilities by extending integrated and iterative power system design and analysis for all types of infrastructure digital twins. With an increasingly electrified future and disparate and widely distributed energy resources on both sides of “the meter,” all infrastructure assets will benefit from ongoing simulation and assessment of power distribution conditions and designs over their project and operating lifecycles in terms of performance, economics, safety, and resilience.
