Angel AI, a Nashville, TN-based provider of a parent-designed AI platform that offers an age-appropriate internet experience for children aged 5 to 12 years old, has raised $4.75 million in seed funding. The funding round was led by Cortical Ventures, with participation from Village Global and other angel investors.

The company plans to use the funds to accelerate investments in hiring, product development, and marketing initiatives. Angel AI aims to enhance its platform, ensuring it remains a leader in providing safe and engaging digital experiences for children.

Founded by CEO Tim Estes, Angel AI leverages advanced AI technologies such as large language models, natural language processing (NLP), speech recognition and synthesis, and agent-based systems with memory. These technologies enable the platform to generate age-appropriate answers to children’s questions, delivering safe content and entertainment. The platform is designed to learn, personalize, and understand the child over time, supporting their curiosity and encouraging them to seek answers by providing multi-modal content, including video and audio, tailored to their comprehension level.

Angel AI ensures a distraction-free environment for children by being free of advertisements and predatory monetization tactics. The platform is also committed to user privacy, refraining from data collection for resale purposes. Additionally, Angel AI offers a parent insight portal, which provides parents with insights into their children’s interests both online and offline.

In the coming months, Angel AI will continue to roll out new capabilities with the goal of creating a comprehensive ecosystem that redefines how children experience the internet. This ecosystem aims to foster a safe, educational, and entertaining online environment for children, aligning with the company’s mission to support and enhance children’s digital experiences.
