TLC Electronics Acquires Schuster Electronics

TLC Electronics has announced the acquisition of Schuster Electronics of Cleveland, Ohio, with a second location in Cincinnati, Ohio.

TLC Electronics was founded in 1984 in St. Paul, Minnesota as a manufacturer rep firm focusing in interconnect solutions. In the early 1990s, there was a growing need for cable and wire harnesses for small pitch connectors and complex assemblies. TLC enhanced its skills to help customers from concept to reality with all types of assembly. TLC is an electromechanical and interconnect component contract manufacturer and factory approved distributor. The company is a second-generation, family-owned enterprise that stands behind its products and services.

Regarding the acquisition of Schuster, Jon Crofford, CEO/Owner of TLC Electronics stated,

“The addition of Schuster to the TLC organization brings together two companies that have grown by taking excellent care of their customers.  We will continue to provide that high level of service and quality.  We have been fortunate to add over 30 new franchised lines to the new organization to better supply our customers.”

Schuster began his career as an electrical contractor in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1904. Their early success came from selling phonographs, records, radios, and appliances. Schuster began offering franchised lines of electrical components in the 1950s. Schuster is currently focused on collaborating with customers to provide global sourcing solutions for components.

TLC Electronics will proudly represent over 50 manufacturers of high-grade electronic components and will continue to provide excellent, custom cable and wire harness assembly. The following industries are still supported by the company: Medical Device, Agricultural, Industrial, and Autonomous.
