Strata, a distributed multi-cloud identity orchestration company, announced today that it has closed a $26 million Series B round of funding led by Telstra Ventures and with participation from existing investors Menlo Ventures, Forgepoint Capital, and Innovating Capital. MavericsTM, the company’s first distributed identity orchestration platform, enables organizations to adopt modern cloud identity systems without the need to rewrite applications, saving millions of dollars and years of manual migration.

Strata has raised over $42 million in funding to date, and the additional funds will be used to scale sales and marketing, go-to-market activities, and customer success initiatives. The company also announced the addition of Marcus Bartram, General Partner at Telstra Ventures, to its board of directors.

Auth0, Oracle, RSA, Sailpoint, and Jumpcloud have assembled a dream team of identity industry pioneers and identity experts. Strata’s founders were instrumental in developing the now-ubiquitous SAML internet identity standard, as well as the open-source Hexa project and the IDQL standard for cloud identity policy orchestration.

Maverics from Strata is a global platform that allows any number of identity systems to collaborate as a unified whole called an Identity Fabric without requiring any changes to the systems or applications. Strata is used by leading enterprises in a variety of industries, including financial services, retail, government, telecommunications, and insurance, for multi-cloud identity orchestration.

Strata Identity is the leader in Identity Orchestration for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The orchestration recipe-powered Maverics platform enables organizations to connect and control incompatible identity systems without changing the user access experience. By decoupling applications from identity, Maverics makes it possible to implement modern authentication like passwordless and enforce consistent access policies without refactoring source code.
