OhioHealth Home Medical Equipment, located in central Ohio, has been acquired by Medical Service Company (MSC).

The Braff Group stated in an April 5 news release that it “originated the transaction and served as the exclusive mergers and acquisitions advisor to OhioHealth Home Medical Equipment.”

Through its three community locations and several in-hospital offices and liaisons, OhioHealth HME supports lightning-fast discharges for the OhioHealth hospital network, MSC said in the announcement.

MSC has also entered into a long-term partnership with the OhioHealth health system, which has 35,000 associates, physicians, and volunteers, as well as a network of 14 hospitals, 200-plus ambulatory sites, hospice, home health, and other facilities spanning 47 counties in the state.

MSC currently has 650 employees and 45 locations that support DME-related discharge planning services for 44 partnering hospitals, with over 160,000 patients served each year.
