Loopback Analytics Receives Strategic Growth Investment from PSG

by

Loopback Analytics, a leading provider of analytics and data-enabled services for health systems and life sciences organizations, has announced a strategic growth investment from PSG, a prominent growth equity firm specializing in partnering with software and technology-enabled services companies to accelerate their growth. Neil Smiley, the founder of Loopback, will continue serving as CEO alongside the current leadership team.

Established in 2009, Loopback connects health systems and life sciences organizations by offering analytics and data-enabled services that enhance specialty pharmacy efforts, optimize patient-centered care, and facilitate the capture and sharing of real-world data for developing therapy-specific best practices. By standardizing and normalizing data from clinical, prescribing, and dispensing systems used by major health systems, Loopback’s platform enables advanced analytics and medical insights. The company serves a large and expanding market across all therapeutic areas.

The investment from PSG will be used by Loopback to further enhance its data and analytics capabilities. This includes the expansion of its recently launched payor access services offering and the development of therapy-specific outcomes initiatives. These initiatives aim to unite leading health systems in establishing consensus around the selection and calculation of relevant clinical endpoints on a therapy-specific basis. To support this expansion, Jerry Buller has been appointed as the Vice President of Payor Access Services.

Neil Smiley expressed gratitude for the support of Loopback’s employees, customers, and partners, and emphasized the value of their solutions across specialty pharmacy and life sciences stakeholders. PSG recognizes Loopback’s accomplishments and shares their vision of enhancing the company’s value proposition to improve patient outcomes and reduce the overall cost of care.

PSG is excited about partnering with Neil and the Loopback team to support their growth trajectory in the health system and life sciences markets. They believe that Loopback has a unique set of solutions and capabilities that will be complemented by the expansion into payor access services and the further development of therapy-specific outcomes.

Loopback Analytics was advised by William Blair as their financial advisor, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP served as legal advisor to PSG.
