Under the new branding “LocaLI Bred curated by Trellus,” the company will continue its mission of promoting and supporting small businesses within Trellus’ expanding delivery service area.
Founded by Theresa Pinelli and Halie Geller in 2018, LocaLI Bred began as a home-based venture before establishing its presence at its Northport headquarters. Over the years, it has collaborated with numerous local brands, selling nearly 20,000 subscription and gift boxes and significantly contributing to Long Island’s economy by returning over half a million dollars to local makers through purchases.
Pinelli and Geller expressed excitement about the partnership with Trellus, stating, “We’re thrilled to have found a partner in Trellus that will continue our mission of supporting local small businesses and introducing customers to new products and brands across Long Island.” They emphasized their commitment to connecting Long Islanders with local businesses, fostering long-term appreciation and support within the community.
Trellus, with its extensive network of over 450 small businesses across Long Island and Westchester County, provides the infrastructure and technology necessary for efficient same-day delivery. Since its inception in 2021, the company has completed over 90,000 deliveries, facilitating seamless transactions between local businesses and customers.
