Treehouse Secures $10M Funding to Expand Home EV Charging Solutions

by

Treehouse, a San Francisco, CA-based company specializing in electrification and home EV charging solutions, has announced the successful completion of a $10 million funding round. The investment is led by Montage Ventures and Trucks Venture Capital, with participation from CarMax, Assurant Ventures, Acrew Capital, Gutter Capital, Detroit Venture Partners, Holman, and Automotive Ventures. The newly secured funds will be utilized to expand Treehouse’s Installation-as-a-Service offering to over 30 states within the next year, while also investing in software to potentially broaden its electrification product offerings.

The growing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) presents the challenge of providing convenient home charging solutions for EV owners. Treehouse aims to address this challenge by offering a turnkey installation service for home EV charging, making it easier for EV owners to integrate charging infrastructure into their homes.

The company’s unique pricing technology enables EV buyers to receive an instant, guaranteed quote for home charging installation at the point of sale or during the vehicle financing process. This approach simplifies the process of home charging installation and promotes EV adoption by reducing barriers to affordability.

In addition to its installation services, Treehouse helps EV owners maximize incentives and rate plans by compiling available federal, state, and local incentives for home EV charging. This feature ensures that customers can take advantage of rebates and choose the most suitable utility plans for their needs.

Treehouse’s expansion plans align with the projected growth of electric vehicles in the coming years. As the number of EVs on the road continues to increase, providing accessible and efficient home charging solutions will play a crucial role in accelerating the transition to electric mobility.

“The power of transparent charger installation pricing is going to change how consumers shop for and buy EVs,” noted Reilly Brennan, Partner at Trucks Venture Capital. “Treehouse is removing a barrier to EV ownership and making it easier for millions of consumers across the country to switch to EVs.”

This funding round will enable Treehouse to expand its geographic footprint and contribute to the broader effort of decarbonizing homes through electrification.
