Sublime Security Raises $60 Million in Series B Funding to Advance AI-Powered Email Protection

by

Sublime Security, a leading adaptive and AI-driven email security platform, has announced the successful completion of a $60 million Series B funding round, elevating its total funding to $93.8 million. The funding was led by IVP, with participation from Citi Ventures and existing investors such as Index Ventures, Decibel Partners, and Slow Ventures. The investment will fuel enhancements to Sublime’s platform and community initiatives.

Leadership Expansion and Customer Growth

The company has appointed Colin Jones as its new President to oversee go-to-market efforts. Jones previously served as Chief Revenue Officer at Wiz, where he contributed to the company’s exponential growth, scaling revenue from $0 to $250 million.

Since its Series A funding earlier this year, Sublime Security has experienced rapid growth, quadrupling its customer base. Its roster of clients now includes major enterprises such as Elastic, Benteler, and Cribl, alongside existing customers like Spotify, Reddit, and Brex.

The Need for Advanced Email Security

The rise of generative AI has transformed the cybersecurity landscape, making phishing attacks more targeted, diverse, and scalable. In 2023, losses from Business Email Compromise (BEC) alone amounted to nearly $3 billion, with many incidents likely unreported.

Sublime’s platform offers advanced, adaptable protection against evolving email threats, minimizing the workload for security teams. The company aims to redefine email security in the same way CrowdStrike revolutionized endpoint protection, providing robust coverage, enhanced visibility, and unmatched control.

Insights from Leaders

Cack Wilhelm, General Partner at IVP, emphasized the critical role Sublime plays in addressing email vulnerabilities, stating, “Email is the backbone of business communication but remains an outsized cybersecurity risk. Sublime provides a transparent, configurable platform that security teams trust, especially as the AI era reshapes threat dynamics.”

Sublime’s CEO and Founder, Josh Kamdjou, highlighted the urgency of evolving email security solutions: “Generative AI has radically changed the email security problem, and yesterday’s solutions can’t address today’s challenges. This funding will accelerate our mission to make email safer for everyone.”

By leveraging cutting-edge AI and adaptive technology, Sublime Security is positioning itself as a key player in the next era of email protection.
