Southern First Bancshares Inc. announced on Friday that Michael Dowling has resigned as chief operating and financial officer, effective February 15, to pursue other opportunities.

According to a Southern First representative, Mr. Dowling will work with the Greenville, South Carolina-based bank holding company to identify a successor and assist with the transition.

Mr. Dowling has been the chief financial officer of Southern First since 2011 and the chief operating officer since July 2019.
