Sesame Labs, a Web3 marketing platform that provides Web3 marketers with the tools they need to reach, engage, and attract users, announced today that it has raised $4.5 million in seed funding. Wing Venture Capital and Patron are co-leading the round.

Backer also includes in that round DoubleJump, Forte, MoonFire, Samsung, Twin Ventures, and angel investors such as Balaji Srinivasan, chief technology officer at Coinbase and founder of Earn; Robin Chan, co-founder of fractal; and Ryan Spoon, ex-chief operating officer at Sorare.

Sesame Labs plans to use the new funds to expand its engineering team, bring new products to market, and expand its user base.

Vinay Jain, the Co-founder of Sesame Labs, says that the way to market on Web3 is still being figured out. He believes that traditional Web2 marketing methods won’t work for Web3. The usual ways to spread information don’t exist in Web3, so his company made a new solution specifically for growing Web3 decentralized apps.

Sesame Labs, founded by Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter alumni, provides a Web3 native marketing stack that includes a campaign management platform, advertising network, and CRM. Web3 companies can now develop targeted marketing campaigns that leverage competitor data, surface cross-channel customer insights, and create in-app engagement rewards – all from a single platform, thanks to Sesame Labs.

The company, which also offers customers a network that allows for private and trusted engagement, launches at a time when Web3 companies lack viable distribution channels or the tools required for effective marketing and customer acquisition.

Sesame Labs was founded by Vinay Jain and Aman Jain in September 2022 to test its platform with over a dozen of the largest Web3 gaming companies, including Decentral Games, Ethermon, and League of Kingdoms.

Tanay Jaipuria, a partner at Wing Venture Capital, has faith in the team at Sesame Labs. He says they have a great background in technology and have successfully created and grown products at major tech companies. Jaipuria supports the team’s aim to make Web3 marketing more effective by saving marketers time and money.
