Motion, a creative analytics and research platform for creative strategists, announced it has secured $30 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Inovia with participation from Threshold Ventures, alongside existing investors Headline, Abstract Ventures, and Sugar Capital. This latest funding brings Motion’s total investment to $42 million.

As audience targeting becomes more algorithm-driven, creative has emerged as the key factor for marketing success. Motion helps creative strategists analyze ad trends, research performance, and generate new ideas, allowing them to maximize revenue impact. The platform is currently used by top e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands like HexClad, Vuori, and Ridge, who rely on Motion to analyze over $6 billion in media spend annually.

CEO Reza Khadjavi said, “Our goal is to make the creative strategist role more approachable by building tools that help ship more winning ads.”

With over 1,000 customers and a recent headcount expansion from 25 to 50, Motion continues to grow. The company also launched a new product called Creative Research, enabling brands to track competitors’ paid social campaigns and analyze their media mix and messaging strategies.

Motion also welcomed YouTube influencer Dara Denney as Chief Evangelist to guide product direction and educate the next generation of creative strategists.
