Katara, a Dover, DE-based AI-agent workflow automation platform provider, has successfully raised $2.2 million in a Seed funding round. This round, which brings Katara’s total funding to $2.6 million, was led by Diagram Ventures and Sparkle Ventures, with additional participation from StreamingFast and other strategic angel investors.

Katara plans to use the funds to expand its platform’s reach beyond web3, extending its capabilities to include major web2, AI, and open-source platforms. The company is also focused on further developing its AI-agent marketplace, enabling clients to deploy and combine autonomous assistants to handle a wide array of tasks.

Founded by CEO Matthew Rossi and CTO David Feldman, Katara leverages traditional machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP) techniques, foundational models, and generative AI infrastructure to enhance and automate developer experience (DevX) workflows. The platform acts as a unification layer, integrating fragmented community and developer management, analytics, and content platforms with an agentic workforce that teams can deploy and manage.

Katara’s platform has already delivered significant efficiency gains for several early launch partners, including AVAIL Protocol, Hivemapper, and Filecoin, saving them over 8,700 hours annually. The company’s commitment to improving efficiency and productivity for DevX teams is driving its expansion into broader markets, including web2, AI, and open-source platforms.
