Genus AI Raises Over $6 Million in Seed Round Extension for E-commerce Generative AI

Genus AI, a generative AI platform for direct-to-consumer (D2C) and e-commerce brands, has secured over $6 million in a seed round extension. This brings the company’s total seed funding to $11 million. The funds will be used to invest in go-to-market infrastructure and expand the platform’s features and integrations.

Genus AI’s platform leverages generative AI to create content for e-commerce businesses, including product images, descriptions, copy, videos, and audience generation. This technology helps streamline content creation, increase brand recognition, and save time and resources for businesses.

The seed round extension includes investments from a leading U.S. social media platform, Aleph Group Inc., and strategic angel investors such as Kazuki Ohta, Co-Founder & CEO of Treasure Data, and Tomas Slimas, Co-Founder of Oberlo (acquired by Shopify).

Genus AI has generated over 10 million product images for e-commerce and D2C brands, offering AI-powered solutions to support growth and engagement across social channels like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.

The company’s platform has been adopted by brands like Awe Inspired, which praised Genus AI for its ability to increase brand recognition, consistency, and automation of image processing.

Genus AI is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and operates a leading AI technology hub in Vilnius, Lithuania, with a team of experts in machine learning. The company has been recognized as an AI leader and has participated in Stanford’s StartX accelerator program and the South by Southwest Pitch competition.
