Fathom, an AI-powered platform transforming meetings with real-time transcription, analysis, and summaries, has raised $17 million in Series A funding led by Telescope Partners. The company also attracted over $2 million through a crowdfunding initiative on Wefunder, inviting users to invest alongside venture capitalists like Maven Ventures, Character, Active Capital, and Rackhouse Ventures.
Founded in 2020 by Richard White, Fathom’s AI-driven platform enables teams to have more productive conversations by automatically generating insights, decisions, and action items during meetings. The platform, which integrates with Zoom and HubSpot, has seen significant growth with a 90x revenue increase and 20x rise in usage over the past two years. Fathom is now used by over 8,500 companies and has earned top user satisfaction ratings on G2.
White emphasized Fathom’s vision of enabling teams to reduce meeting time while enhancing visibility into organizational activities through AI. “Our goal is for teams to have fewer meetings, but much more visibility into the organization around them as a result of those meetings,” he said. The funding will support product development, including the expansion of Fathom’s Team Edition, which provides managers with insights into customer conversations and helps coach teams.
Telescope Partners’ founder Mickey Arabelovic praised Fathom’s success in applying AI to improve meeting productivity, noting that the platform’s focus on users has made it indispensable for sales and customer-facing teams.
