CodeRabbit, a Walnut Creek, California-based startup specializing in AI-powered code review automation, has raised $16 million in Series A funding. The round was led by CRV with additional participation from Flex Capital and Engineering Capital.
The new funding will be used to broaden CodeRabbit’s product offerings and integrations. This includes adding enhanced security and vulnerability analysis features, as well as integrations with popular platforms like Jira and Slack. The company also plans to introduce AI-driven analytics and reporting tools aimed at improving developer productivity and code quality.
Co-founded by Harjot Gill and Gur Singh, CodeRabbit’s platform automates the code review process, providing developers with actionable, AI-generated feedback that mimics human input. This not only saves time but also enhances the overall quality of the code.
Since its launch, CodeRabbit has gained significant traction, particularly among small to medium-sized businesses and mid-market segments. Within a year, the company has onboarded over 600 paid organizations. Now, CodeRabbit is expanding into the large enterprise market, testing self-hosted versions of its platform, and conducting proof-of-concept trials with several Fortune 500 companies.
This strategic push into larger markets reflects CodeRabbit’s commitment to revolutionizing code reviews at scale, positioning itself as a leader in developer productivity tools.
