Brightwave, an AI financial research platform, has closed a $15 million Series A funding round led by Decibel Partners, with OMERS Ventures also participating.
This round raises Brightwave’s total funding to $21 million, following an oversubscribed seed round in June.
Since then, Brightwave has achieved 4x revenue growth, driven by demand from a wide client base, including hedge funds, private credit investors, and global asset managers.
The platform leverages a proprietary AI knowledge graph that integrates high-signal data from sources like SEC filings, earnings transcripts, news, and more, enabling finance professionals to gain insights across asset classes. Brightwave’s AI-powered reasoning system enhances question-answering and search capabilities, helping users detect market changes, benchmark assets, and identify critical performance drivers.
With a seasoned team of AI and finance experts from Databricks, Meta, Goldman Sachs, and UBS, Brightwave has rapidly scaled since its founding 16 months ago.
The new funding will drive further investment in engineering talent, strategic partnerships, and enhancements to its knowledge graph and AI reasoning capabilities, reinforcing Brightwave’s competitive edge in the financial research sector.
