BoldHue, a Boise-based beauty-tech company, has raised nearly $3.4 million in seed funding. This latest round, led by Lucas Venture Group, also saw participation from Capital Eleven, Backstage Capital, Tacoma Ventures, Mark Cuban, and Kevin Huvane. With this round, BoldHue’s total funding reaches nearly $5.2 million.

The company plans to use the funds to accelerate the development of its patented device and begin shipping its first 10,000 units this fall. The device, which formulates foundation on-demand at home, has already attracted a waitlist of over 40,000.

Founded in 2020 by Rachel Wilson and Karin Layton, BoldHue is revolutionizing the beauty industry with its innovative technology. The company initially raised nearly $2 million through friends and family and pre-seed rounds. This $3.37 million seed fundraise marks their first priced round.

The successful funding round reflects strong investor confidence in BoldHue’s potential to disrupt the beauty market with its cutting-edge device, addressing a significant demand for personalized beauty solutions.
