Ambassador Supply, based in Fort Wayne, announced the acquisition of Straight Line Metal Buildings, a manufacturer of pre-engineered metal buildings based in Brookshire, Texas, on Wednesday.

The deal’s financial specifics are not being published.

Straight Line employs over 80 people, all of whom will be maintained as part of the acquisition, in addition to Ambassador Supply’s 18 employees, according to a spokeswoman for Inside INdiana Business.

Ambassador Supply is a real estate investment and management firm that specializes in residential and commercial development.

Straight Line builds metal buildings such as steel residences, mini-storage buildings, and modular offices, as well as components and other items.

Ambassador Supply said the acquisition boosts the company’s total number of design and construction-related companies under its umbrella to 13 across the country.

The company plans to expand further through strategic investments in residential and commercial construction, lumber and building materials, development, manufacture, and distribution, and building technology.
