Treehouse Secures .6M Series A Funding to Scale Nationwide Electrification Installations

Treehouse, a software-enabled platform specializing in electrification projects, announced that it has secured $16.6 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Flourish Ventures, with participation from major players such as Eaton, Veriten, MassMutual Ventures, and inVest Ventures. Existing investors, including CarMax, Montage Ventures, Acrew Capital, Holman, Virta Ventures, and Invest Detroit, also participated in the round. With this fresh capital, Treehouse plans to expand its national footprint, helping companies such as automotive OEMs, utilities, and electrification hardware manufacturers deploy scalable electrification programs.

Tackling the Electrification and Decarbonization Challenge

The electrification and decarbonization of buildings and infrastructure are critical to meeting global climate goals. The transition to cleaner, more energy-efficient technologies—such as electric vehicle (EV) chargers, energy storage systems, and heat pumps—is happening on a massive scale. However, large-scale electrification efforts are often hindered by challenges such as a shortage of licensed electricians, the need for companies to maintain their own installer networks, and the lack of standardized processes across electrification marketplaces. These challenges can result in inefficiencies, delays, and inconsistent customer experiences.

Treehouse aims to solve these problems by acting as a centralized, end-to-end partner that delivers scalable installation programs nationwide. Powered by artificial intelligence, the platform automates many stages of the electrification process, from quoting and design to permitting and installation. Its proprietary software simplifies traditionally complex tasks such as load calculations, wire runs, and permit plan sets, enabling instant and transparent pricing while ensuring a streamlined and modern installation experience for customers, partners, and electricians.

Revolutionizing Cloud-Based Electrification Services

By operating at the intersection of software and the electrical trade, Treehouse is transforming how the industry handles electrification. The company’s platform, which provides a comprehensive, tech-driven solution, is designed to improve efficiency, transparency, and customer satisfaction. Treehouse helps contractors, automotive OEMs, fleet managers, and utilities deploy electrification programs more effectively while reducing costs and installation times.

“Electrification is an imperative to address the climate crisis and improve long-term grid resilience,” said Eric Owski, CEO of Treehouse. “By bringing scale, transparency, and intelligent software to the installation process, Treehouse can reduce friction and drive accelerated adoption of electrification products like EVs, smart panels, heat pumps, and home energy storage systems.”

Expanding Partnerships with Industry Leaders

Treehouse’s platform is already integrated with major partners such as CarMax, Holman, Emporia, and Quilt, offering these companies a way to streamline the electrification process. For example, Treehouse partners with automotive OEMs and dealers to integrate home charging installations into the electric vehicle sales process, a critical step in addressing one of the key barriers to EV adoption—home charging infrastructure.

Similarly, utilities seeking to encourage the adoption of energy-efficient products are leveraging Treehouse’s platform to offer a streamlined installation process for customers. This enhances grid resilience and reliability, helping utilities to better manage increased electricity demands from electrification projects.

Manufacturers of electrification products, such as heat pumps, home batteries, and smart panels, also collaborate with Treehouse to provide turnkey installations for their customers, allowing these companies to expand their market reach. By taking on the responsibility of project scoping, design, and pricing, Treehouse makes it easier for contractors to complete more jobs efficiently, reducing their costs while increasing the number of available projects.

Investor Confidence in the Electrification Revolution

Treehouse’s recent funding round has drawn attention from investors who see the platform’s potential to accelerate the electrification movement. Emmalyn Shaw, Managing Partner at Flourish Ventures, highlighted Treehouse’s impact on the industry: “Treehouse and its software-enabled platform are transforming electrical services. We are excited to invest in a company that is bringing transparency, automation, affordability, financing options, and significant customer satisfaction to some of the largest electrification installation programs in the country.”

Paul Ryan, General Manager of Connected Solutions and EV Charging at Eaton, emphasized the importance of Treehouse’s innovations, noting that “homeowners and electrical contractors need tools that reduce the complexity and streamline the installation of distributed energy resources and EV charging.” Ryan sees Treehouse’s AI-powered software as key to scaling electrification efforts and promoting decarbonization.

Maynard Holt, Founder and CEO of Veriten, also commented on Treehouse’s potential to accelerate the energy transition, stating, “Installation is a vital and often overlooked part of the electrification value chain. In building a platform that makes installation turnkey, Treehouse can significantly accelerate electrification and decarbonization programs nationwide.”

A Growing Footprint in the Electrification Industry

Since its launch, Treehouse has completed thousands of installations across the United States and continues to build partnerships with leading companies in the electrification space. With the Series A funding, Treehouse is well-positioned to expand its operating footprint and offer its services to more partners, customers, and contractors across the country. The platform is helping accelerate the adoption of clean energy technologies while providing a better, more efficient installation experience for all stakeholders.

As the energy transition accelerates and electrification becomes more essential to combat climate change, Treehouse is poised to play a vital role in scaling the infrastructure needed to support these efforts. By addressing the key pain points in the installation process, Treehouse is empowering companies and contractors to meet the growing demand for electrification and decarbonization products, helping pave the way for a more sustainable future.

With the additional funding, Treehouse will continue to innovate and scale its software-enabled platform, driving the growth of the electrification industry and supporting the global effort to combat climate change.
