Gladia Raises $16M in Series A Funding, Unveils Multilingual Real-Time Audio Transcription and Analytics Engine

Gladia, an AI-driven transcription and audio intelligence company, has secured $16 million in Series A funding. The round, led by XAnge with participation from Illuminate Financial, XTX Ventures, and others, will accelerate the development of Gladia’s end-to-end audio infrastructure. This includes the launch of a real-time audio transcription and analytics engine aimed at supporting multilingual voice-first platforms across industries.

Founded in 2022, Gladia has now raised a total of $20.3 million. The new funding will enhance Gladia’s multilingual capabilities, offering real-time transcription in over 100 languages with advanced support for accents. CEO and Co-Founder Jean-Louis Quéguiner, driven by his own frustration with existing transcription services, stated, “Our product allows for real-time transcription and insights in multiple languages, addressing the global demand for more inclusive AI solutions.”

With an industry-leading latency of under 300 milliseconds, Gladia’s speech-to-text engine integrates easily with existing tech stacks, enabling businesses to implement real-time transcription and analytics seamlessly. CTO Jonathan Soto emphasized the product’s compatibility with common protocols like SIP and VoIP, making it adaptable across industries.

The capital raised will drive Gladia’s R&D and support the launch of additional AI models, including large language models and retrieval-augmented generation, as the company prepares for international expansion.
