Quality Manufacturing Layoffs Hit 68 Workers Amid Restructuring

Quality Manufacturing Corp., based in Urbandale, has announced the layoff of 68 employees, effective September 12, according to a notice posted on the state’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) website. The company, a full-service metal fabricator, is located at 4300 N.W. Urbandale Drive.

The layoffs come as part of a restructuring effort within the company, which employs around 360 workers, as listed by the Greater Des Moines Partnership. Calls seeking comment from the company were not immediately returned.

Founded in 1995, Quality Manufacturing has been a significant employer in the Des Moines area, providing fabrication services for industries across the region. The company’s decision to reduce its workforce reflects the continued challenges faced by businesses amid economic shifts.
