Austin-based news organization The DONUT has acquired Press Sports, a social media platform focused on connecting young athletes and sports fans.
While financial details were not disclosed, the acquisition will lead to the formation of DONUT Press Media, a new holding company that will integrate both brands under a unified growth strategy.
Founded in 2019 by Conrad Cornell and Drew Williams, Press Sports has grown into a sports media company with over 2.1 million users across its app and social platforms, engaging Gen Z and millennials in 50 different sports. Co-founder and COO Branndon Stewart will join DONUT Press Media to manage daily operations.
The DONUT, led by Founder and CEO Peter Nowak, delivers daily emails offering a balanced view of current issues without bias.
