Anyplace, the pioneering short-term rental company specializing in remote work-friendly accommodations, has successfully concluded its Series B funding round, raising $10.27 million. This round included an $8.27 million equity investment and a strategic $2 million debt secured from Silicon Valley Bank.
The funding was led by the LAUNCH Fund and its founder, Jason Calacanis, showcasing the escalating demand for flexible, work-friendly housing solutions. Michael Savino, President of the LAUNCH Fund, joins Anyplace’s board as a result of this investment.
A cohort of esteemed investors, including CapitalX, Gaingels, Riverside Ventures, Potluck Ventures, MSIVC, FreakOut Shinsei Fund, Delight Ventures, and influential individual backers, also contributed to the funding initiative.
“Anyplace is at the forefront of providing specialized remote-friendly accommodations for today’s digital nomad,” stated Michael Savino, President of LAUNCH. “Their vision aligns perfectly with the future of work, and we are thrilled to support their next phase of growth.”
Anyplace’s rapid expansion is attributed to strategic collaborations with real estate giants like Greystar, Avalon Bay, and UDR. With this funding, Anyplace’s total funding now amounts to $18 million. Currently, the company operates in four major US cities: San Francisco, New York City, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Anyplace has ambitious plans to further expand its presence across the nation, with expansion initiatives slated for Q4 2023.
CEO and Founder Steve Satoru Naito expressed his vision, stating, “Since our inception, our goal has been to offer individuals the freedom to travel with confidence without compromising productivity. This funding not only validates our past achievements but also illuminates our path forward. With steadfast support from our investors, partners, and the Anyplace community, we are excited to continue leading the way in providing remote work-friendly accommodations in the post-pandemic world.”
The investment underscores Anyplace’s pivotal role in shaping the future of work and travel, providing individuals with the ability to work remotely while enjoying high-quality accommodations, ultimately redefining the way people approach travel and productivity in the modern era.
