PYOR (Power Your Own Research), a leading provider of high-fidelity data and insights for the digital assets industry, has successfully raised $4 million in its seed round of funding. Castle Island Ventures led the investment, with additional participation from Hash3, Antler, Future Perfect Venture, Force Ventures, CoinSwitch Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, and angel investor Balaji Srinivasan.
PYOR aims to establish itself as the industry standard for digital asset platforms. In contrast to other asset classes, the digital assets segment is predominantly driven by retail investors, resulting in a lack of institutional-grade infrastructure for decision-making. Despite the market capitalization of digital assets exceeding $1 trillion, there remains a clear need for robust data infrastructure to facilitate institutional participation. The raised capital will be instrumental in advancing PYOR’s mission and expanding its presence in the global digital assets ecosystem.
The funding will enable PYOR to enhance its core infrastructure and product platform, with a particular focus on developing its interpretation layer for digital assets. This will facilitate increased institutional participation by offering high-fidelity data and insights supported by reliable execution. Additionally, the funds will be utilized to expand the team and fill various new positions.
Sean Judge, General Partner at Castle Island Ventures, expressed excitement about partnering with PYOR and highlighted the critical role the company plays in building auditable infrastructure for the crypto industry. The team’s experience in onboarding crypto investors at CoinSwitch underscored the necessity for standardized, institutional-grade data and analytics to attract the next wave of crypto investors.
Founded in August 2022, PYOR provides tailored desktop analytics interfaces to deliver key insights on digital assets. The founding team, consisting of Krishna Hegde, Sarmad Nazki, Sharan Nair, and Yadunandan Batchu, boasts over five decades of combined experience in both the digital assets and traditional finance sectors. Their expertise gained from leading global financial services firms such as Barclays, KPMG, EY, and multiple Indian unicorns, as well as building digital asset companies, positions PYOR to drive mainstream adoption of digital assets effectively.
PYOR has been making significant strides in 2023. While currently in private beta, the company recently unveiled its Terminal product, a plug-and-play data terminal that enables institutions to access fundamental blockchain data and create private queries through a customizable dashboard tailored to their specific needs.
